Jonathan P. Quevedo, M.D.

Dr. Jonathan Quevedo received his medical degree in 1980 from Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York.  He completed his Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation residency at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center, serving as Chief Resident during his last year.

Dr. Quevedo is board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and also in Pain Medicine. He has spent much of his time and practice in chronic pain management. His areas of special interest are pain of the head, neck region, headaches, facial pain, and fibromyalgia.  Dr. Quevedo also performs sphenopalatine blocks, a procedure which has been very successful for these types of painful conditions. He also trains residents in this useful technique.

Another of Dr. Quevedo’s areas of interest is neuromuscular and neurological disorders.  He has developed a Parkinson Clinic for the assessment of patients by a rehabilitation medicine physician and a therapist. He was Co-director of the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) Clinic.

Dr. Quevedo is actively involved in teaching Rehabilitation Medicine residents. He frequently lectures on rehabilitation medicine at area hospitals.  He has been a volunteer speaker for the American Heart Association and is involved in charitable endeavors which have included several medical mission trips to Honduras.

Dr. Quevedo is Medical Director for the Client Services admission department where he is actively involved in the screening and evaluation process of patients referred for admission to the JFK-Johnson Rehabilitation Institute.  He is fluent in English and Spanish.
